| Picture: Osborne C. Reeves and Rebecca Osborne Notes: Osborne C. Reeves was a Methodist minister. Reeves Station was built in 1901 on property given by Osborne C. Reeves to the Southern Railway Company on condition that the station be named Reeves. It land was located in the Reeves Community, a small town about 18 miles north of Rome, Dade County, GA. The building was moved to Rome GA in 1976 and is now used as Rome's Visitor Center. Notes for Enoch O. Reeves: Served in 21st GA Inf. CSA. Enlisted July 4, 1861. Appointed 4th Sergeant June 4, 1862. Killed June 3, 1864 at Cold Harbor, VA. Notes for Stephen F. Reeves: Served in 21st GA Inf. CSA. Enlisted July 4, 1861. Died of typhoid fever on October 6, 1861 at Fairfax VA. |
