Notes for James Martin Lowe: He married 1st Clarinda Laws on November 19,
1860 Wilkes Co NC. She died abt 1863. She was the daughter of Jason R. Laws
and Elizabeth Kilby. They had one son, James Franklin Lowe, born January 22,
1863 NC and died September 5, 1949, Wilkes Co NC. He married Jettie Jane
Bartlett abt 1887 and they had 9 children. They are buried at Walnut Grove
Baptist Cemetery.
Notes for Matilda Kilby: She married 1st William A. Brookshire, September 14,
1858, Wilkes Co NC. He was born May 6, 1836 and died October 1, 1863. They
had 2 sons: John Stokes Brookshire, born May 19, 1859; and Joel Benjamin
Brookshire, born July 16, 1861. She married 2nd James Martin Lowe.
