Andrew Jackson Fletcher served as a Private in Company H, 21st GA Inf, CSA. Promoted to Corporal / Sergeant. Enlisted July 2, 1861, at Rising Fawn GA. With Lee's Army when surrendered at Appomattox Courthouse on April 9, 1865. One of his descendants still has the round-ball fragment from his wound received during the Civil War. When he returned home after the war, his family had moved away. Andrew Jackson Fletcher formed the Fletcher/Bailey Lightning Kidney Cure. He was a farmer and country doctor. Notes for James O. Fletcher: He married S. L. Turner on May 20, 1888, Tarrant Co TX. They lived in Yuma AZ and had two children: George & Hetty. Notes for George Frank Fletcher: He married 1st: R. Alice Turner on October 27, 1897, Tarrant Co TX. They had one daughter. They later divorced. He married 2nd: Mary Virginia Johnston on December 23, 1906. She was born June 7, 1884 and died November 24, 1956. They had 2 sons, Francis and Andrew, (who did not survive infancy) and one daughter. Notes for Enoch R. Fletcher: He married Minnie Pearl Hammon, who was born June 20, 1889. They had a son: Ernest Lee Fletcher, born August 29, 1908 and died May 1981 Morgan Hill CA. They also one daughter and one other son. |
